Evaluate zipper and pocket openings as complete assemblies, including zipper tape, seams, reinforcement and protective flaps or garages. Check operation and appearance before assessing water entry under the agreed test conditions. Pay attention to opening ends and intersecting seams. A zipper component description should not be treated as proof that the assembled pocket or front closure is waterproof.
